A long and strong par 4 with the Clubhouse in the distance. Course designer Harry Colt had always strived to create a tough finish, and this is exactly what we have here at Whittington. The fairway slopes toward the bunkers so ideally you need to hit you tee shot up the right hand side, easier said than done as the Out of Bounds fence sits no more than 20 yards from the right of the fairway. A long iron or fairway wood into this green will be required – avoid the bunker short of the green and your ball will feed nicely into the centre of the green leaving you with a couple of tough putts for par.
